Attention! There are results of the event and my bets:
Lucky day :-)
Total: + 160 $
Anthony "Showtime" Pettis (C) (18-3-0) vs. Rafael dos Anjos #1 (24-7-0). (None) I had wanted to bet on Pettis, before I came to bookie, I stayed about 20 minutes, thinking about the fight, and I had already to bet on dos Anjos, but I was in two minds and didn't make the decision :-) So there were equal chances to win, but Rafael had more desire to win...Rafael is mentally stronger, than Anthony. It was the key to win.
Carla "Cookie Monster" Esparza (C) (11-3-0) vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk #1 (9-0-0). (None) The winner is more versatile: the times, when it was enough to be master in one style, were passed many years ago.
Johny "Bigg Rigg" Hendricks #1 (17-3-0) vs. Matt "The Immortal" Brown #5 (21-13-0). (+ 25 $) Johny is true #1, very calm, and do I only think that it was the bout between Matt's aggression and Johny's gentleness? Johny could do more punishment, but he prefered the control.
Roy "Big Country" Nelson #8 (21-11-0) vs. Alistair "The Reem" Overeem #9 (39-14-0, 1 NC). (None) I'm glad that Alistair respects Roy's power, but I don't expect that Alistair can be so technical and accurate in his striking. The one thing, which I don't like, is defense: running away or turtling. If Roy was more active or didn't break the hand, Alistair would get harm with such kind of defense.
Chris "Kamikaze" Cariaso #10 (17-7-0) vs. Henry "The Messenger" Cejudo (8-0-0). (None) I don't think that it is spectacular fight. Henry destroyed Chris with his wrestling and nothing else.
Ross "The Real Deal" Pearson (19-8-0, 1 NC) vs. Sam "Hands of Stone" Stout (21-11-1). (+ 25 $) Sam was terrifically light on his feet for him. I saw that the coach change inured to the benefit. He is also durable and improves kickboxing a lot, but Ross was so unlucky in his last fights that we could all believe in some mystical incident, if he lost the fight again :-) Congratulations, Ross!
Elias "The Spartan" Theodorou (11-0-0) vs. Roger "Silverback" Narvaez (7-2-0). (+ 25 $) Elias is, maybe, rough striker, but he puts much pressure to make his opponent tired. It was predictable fight, nothing much about it.
Daron "Detroit Superstar" Cruickshank (16-6-0, 1 NC) vs. Beneil Dariush (10-1-0). (+ 85 $) Great kicks for the both sides. The beautiful knee in the first round from Daron, when Beneil attempted takedown...Great timing, but Beneil is better in all aspects. I like fights when both fighters are tough.
Jared "The Big Show" Rosholt (12-2-0) vs. Josh "Cuddly Bear" Copeland (9-2-0). (None) We see the same Jared Rosholt over and over again. He regulates his level of aggression through his fights, but he doesn't change anything else. There are many fighters who look like him, and Jared is not the best fighter among them. If he would like to beat the same fighters as Josh Copeland, ok, it's enough, but it's not enough to be in Top 20.
