Dana White declares that it would be rational if MMA is included in The Olympic
games as the new discipline, also according to his story he endeavored to make it real. But has Dana "the right" to claim something like that? Current UFC roster policy explains another thing: fighters with high hype are more important for promotion. It's more business than sport. Trash talking becomes the necessary attribute for the UFC fighter beyond skills, when 4 years ago it was the unique Chael "The American Gangster" Sonnen's schtick. The explicit representative of the new fighter class is Conor "Notorious" McGregor who achieves the large amount of PPVs and, therefore, very advantageous for the UFC managers. But it's important to say that Conor talks trash and proves his words with victories when another part of the trash talkers only generate words.
The opposite fighters class is fighter who doesn't talk trash, and now it implies that this fighter doesn't promote his fight. This fighter class is not interesting for UFC, as we can see that in Rory "Red King" MacDonald's situation. Rory was denoted as the prospect with great potential about 6 years ago, he got victories versus top opponents, but somebody treats his fights as borrow fights, and now UFC doesn't negotiate with him, so Rory signs new contract with Bellator. I think that it's UFC mistake, the best MMA promotion company should not lose talents like Rory MacDonald, the clear athletes. And if Dana talks about The Olympic games, could he name the sportsman who talks trash? Because it's less business than sport.
